DDE Link

To display real-time data from XTick in a spreadsheet (EXCEL) using a DDE link:
Left click on the cell in Excel you want to contain the DDE link. Enter the desired DDE link in the cell editing box at the top of the spreadsheet.

DDE links have 6 components:

An equal sign =
The data application being accessed XTICK
The separator character |
The ticker EURUSD
A second separator character !
The data label BID

Therefore, entering =XTICK|EURUSD!BID into a spreadsheet cell causes that cell to display, and continually update, the bid price for the selected instrument.

The data label may be one of them: BID - for bid prices, ASK - for ask prices, LAST - for last prices, TIME - for the quote's time and VOL - for the volume.
